Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Anthony Larson, professionally known as Johnny Wayne, is a music artist transforming his dreams into reality.
Johnny began writing music his senior year of high school and has been developing his style and brand ever since. He began making music with his friends in 2008. The group developed several hundred tracks together and performed at various well known St. Louis venues. In 2015, Johnny decided to move on from the group and cultivate his career as a solo artist. At this time, he started #FreeTrackFriday. Over the course of a year, he released 39 tracks for free on both SoundCloud and YouTube.
Soon after, Johnny moved to Orlando, FL, where he wrote his debut album, Fresh Start. He was inspired by the much healthier, positive lifestyle that Florida opened up for him. Johnny said, “Moving away from my hometown and stepping out of my comfort zone was the best decision I have ever made. I figured out exactly who I am and what I want to be, which ultimately enhances the authenticity of my music.”
Now back in St. Louis, Johnny is continuing to perfect his craft as a music artist and enhance the quality of his music which he records and mixes himself in his home studio, Johnny Wayne Studios. He has strong connections in the St. Louis community and has worked with several well-known artists and producers.
Recently, Johnny have been performing around the St. Louis Metropolitan area and beyond, including Lake of the Ozarks, where his music seems to fit in very well. He considers his style upbeat/fun/dance/"summervibes", perfect for a pool party! Not shy to donate his time, he has helped raise money by performing at several well-known charity events, "F&H Adult Prom" for Gods Grace Animal Rescue, “Superstars N’ Supercars” and “Music & Miracles”. He also created theme songs for thriving businesses. His favorite, “Hemp CBD Superstore Theme Song”, has been drawing a lot of attention.
